The 9th ASPO conference is the only international conference exclusively dedicated to fossil fuel depletion and its economic and social consequences. Providing an excellent opportunity for discussion and knowledge exchange for scientists, industry decision makers and representatives from public authorities from all over the world. ASPO 9 will take place in Brussels, Belgium during April 27-29, 2011. Based on the theme of "European Energy Policy in an era of expensive energy" ASPO 9 will cover a wide range of topics related to fossil fuel depletion, alternative energy solutions, energy modelling, and policy options at a European level. During ASPO 9 presentations from international experts will be complemented with roundtable workshops involving representatives of the European Commission and Parliament to discuss the consequences of rising energy prices in a variety of themes.
