On Saturday September 14, 2005, the leading Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter had an article by Cristian Azar, professor at Chalmers University of Technology, with the title “The pessimists are wrong about the oil ”. In the article professor Kjell Aleklett, president of ASPO, was named as one of the leading pessimists. The tone in the article was that the “pessimists” with their action might make the politicians worried and pushes decisions in a less environmental direction. The newspaper did not accept a reply of this article by professor Aleklett. Obvious they don’t believe in Peak Oil.
