Oil & Gas Operation Summit 2005, Dubai
|
Marcus Evans organizes the
Oil & Gas operations summit 2005 at the Emirates Hotel in Dubai, 31 May
– 2 June. They think, “Souring oil prices, increasing demands for oil and
gas coupled with maturing reserves in an unstable political climate, make
this an exiting time for big oil”. They also quote Arthur C. Clarke: “The
only way to discover the limits of the possible is to go beyond them into
the impossible”. For us in ASPO is the IEA and EIA scenario production of
120 million barrels of oil in 2025 – 2030 impossible. We will reach a peak
in the production before we reach 120 million barrels per day.
Of the 15 invited speakers is one from outside the
oil industry, president of ASPO, professor Kjell Aleklett. His talk
“Looking in from the Outside: Exploring the Evidence of Peak Oil”
will be posted after the talk is given.
